Beautiful hands on your wedding day. Nurturing treatments to make them smooth as silk

Elegant, well-groomed and velvety smooth. Hands and nails on the wedding day must look perfect. They are not just an accessory to the white dress - they are the focus of all the guests' attention as they admire the adorned ring finger or offer their congratulations. How do you make sure your hands are in pristine condition on your special day? Find out how to take care of them before the wedding ceremony and which manicure to choose in our guide.

Hands play an important role in the wedding ceremony. As a sign of our vows, we intertwine them in a marital embrace and adorn them with a ring. We give them to the guests to appreciate their presence on this special day for us and to thank them for their wishes. They are present in the photographs that we look back on in the years to come when remembering the wedding ceremony.

This is why hand care should not be relegated to the background - it should be treated on a par with make-up or hairstyle selection.. Don't leave manicures and hand moisturising treatments to the last minute. They deserve special care before the wedding, so start your preparations well in advance. We've got you covered with a care plan to keep your hands beautiful and well-groomed on your wedding day.

Strengthen nails and moisturise cuticles

Experts emphasise that beautiful hands and nails on your wedding day take some time to earn. Ideally, two to three months before the ceremony, you should implement the right supplementation and regularly massage oil into the plate. "Applying the oil in the morning and evening helps to moisturise the cuticles and nails and protects against the formation of burrs," explains Harriet Westmoreland, a celebrity manicurist whose clients include Rosie Hungington-Whiteley and Zendaya. In addition to this daily ritual, specialists recommend taking a dietary supplements with field horsetail (contains a large amount of plate-strengthening silica), zinc (also good for the complexion), L-cysteine, biotin and nettle extract.

Regularly exfoliate and moisturise the skin on your hands

"When I prepare a bride for her wedding, I give her a hand scrub every other day and moisturise her hand skin every day," Harriet Westmoreland revealed in an interview with Tatler magazine. As the manicurist explains, this systematic care keeps her hands looking perfect on the day of the ceremony. the skin is velvety smooth, supple and has a nice skin tone. It is a good idea to start exfoliating about two weeks before the wedding, which will not only help to thoroughly smooth the epidermis, but also to lighten blemishes. For exfoliation, you can use a homemade scrub of olive oil, sugar crystals and a few drops of lemon. Thoroughly moisturise your hands after each treatment. The following products are ideal for this purpose Handy Lab intensive care masks in the form of gloves. They nourish the skin on your hands more deeply than a cream and also contain active ingredients with anti-wrinkle and tone levelling properties. Use 1-2 times a week as a skincare booster to maximise the effects of the treatment.

Masks Extreme Hyaluron and Extreme Retinol you can use alternately. The first contains a concentrated dose of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and macadamia oilto make the skin on the hands more supple and promote healthy skin tone. The second mask is enriched with retinol, which fills in wrinkles and firms the hands for an extra smoothness. Both masks have a relaxing white tea scent that will guarantee you a moment of relaxation in the busy pre-wedding time.

Choose a timeless manicure

Harriet advises that the wedding manicure should be done the day before the ceremony. Her clients usually opt for classic French or sheer nude nails - i.e. semi-transparent, flesh-coloured shades: light beiges, powder pinks, milky whites. On this special day, it is best to opt for timeless, elegant stylingA look that will not distract from the ceremony and will harmoniously complement the wedding look. Striking patterns and bold colours are best left for another occasion. Any manicure with a clean look and a minimalist style such as lipgloss nails, milk bath nails or dusty rose will do. If you want something more original, ask your manicurist for a shimmering accent, such as a micro French manicure with a delicate silver strip.

Super moisturised and smooth hands! A super glove mask in a wonderful creamy serum texture.Very much a serum in a glove of 30 grams, gives you the assurance of a complete care of the skin of the hands, cuticles and nails. After 30 minutes in the glove, the hands regain their smoothness, are moisturised and the skin has a natural healthy tone. I have sensitive hands and find it hard to get them in order after winter, after 2 home spa treatments for my hands my skin is in super condition, and previously no hand masks worked for me.

Pros: Super composition, high serum content, texture and fragrance, smartphone friendly gloves

I am a woman of 40+ and a product like this is a great solution for me. I used the gloves with the retinol cocktail and the effect was great after the first use. My hands were smoother, less visible wrinkles and better skin colour.

Advantages: form of application - gloves, pleasant fragrance - moisturises well

The gloves are made of a pleasant material, the closure around the wrists prevents the cream from escaping. The mask smells beautiful and gives the effect of a professional treatment. Hands are rested, smooth and moisturised - the effect lasts until the next day.
